Where is the event being held?
In the street on the CNR of Macquarie and Elizabeth Street George Town. From the roundabout on Bathurst Street (Woolworths is still accessible) to and including the Elizabeth Street Roundabout. And Elizabeth Street from The CFLC back driveway all the way down to and including the stone quarry bay pontoons.
What is the event about?
The Event is about community and bring everyone together and showcasing the wonderfulness that is George Town, to bring together the people of George Town and those from outside to show them that we are the place to be.
Who is the event organiser?
The event is organised by the staff of the George Town Neighbourhood house, the whole event is organised in addition to the normal duties so a lot of love hours go into the event.
Is this a George Town Council event?
This is not a George Town council event, the George Town Council are a major sponsor of the event giving $20,000 towards the event, in which we are very grateful for, the rest of the funds are from other sponsors and through the teams fundraising effort.
Is the event free or is there an admission fee?
The Event is free to enter as we want the event to be accessible to everyone in the community regardless of their financial situation. There is some free activities within the event as well as some paid activities,
What Roads are closed and from what time?
Macquarie Street from the Bathurst Street roundabout down to and including the Elizabeth Street roundabout. Elizabeth Street from the old bus stop down to and including the Stone Quarry Bay Pontoon. Bathurst street cul-de-sac from the bottom side of the Woolworths second driveway. Roads will be closed from 10am, on the 31st of December, they will reopen at 1am.

Can I get tickets at the door?
No
Do I need to print my ticket or can I show it on my phone?
Both is acceptable
What should I do if I lose my ticket?
If you lose your ticket that is ok we can look your ticket up on the system.
Why do I need a ticket if they are free?
By getting one of our free tickets, you are helping us with a number of things, gathering attendance statistics that help stratify our funders and help us look for funding for the next event. It also helps us ensure we have enough resources to cater for the amount of people at the event such as toilets, first aid, food and space.
Do Babies need tickets?
We request that everyone has a ticket allocated to them as it helps us collect attendance numbers.

Is the event wheelchair accessible?
Yes, the event is wheelchair accessible
Are there accommodations for people with disabilities?
The event is accessible but if there is additional needs required we would ask that you reach out to us with plenty of notice so we can see what we are able to put in place to make it more accommodating.
Is there parking available at the venue?
There will be parking on the street and in the Macquarie Street car park, there still will only be limited spaces so if you are able to come on foot or carpool that is advised
Is public transportation available to the venue?
There will be the normal public transportation but nothing event specific
Will there be seating available?
The event will have lots of seating available around the place.

What time do gates open?
Gates open 5.30pm
Is there a dress code?
No dress code, we just ask that clothing and shoes are worn.
Will food and beverages be available?
There will be a number of food and beverage options available at the event.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
You are able to bring in your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, strictly no BYO alcohol
Is smoking allowed at the event?
There is a designated smoking area set up for the event.

What is the schedule of events?
The event schedule will come out closer to the event
Will there be activities for children?
From 5.30pm-9.30pm there will be a lot of activities for the children some will be free some will have a cost
Are pets allowed?
Only Service animals are allowed at the event, due to having animal attractions.
Is there a map of the event layout?
An event map will be available closer to the event and copies can be picked up at the entry gate or brought up on your phone via QR code that will be posted around the event.

Is proof of vaccination or a negative test required?
No, we do not require proof of vaccination or negative test for the event.
Are masks required at the event?
No masks are required but if you feel more comfortable wearing one you are welcome to do so.
What should I do if I feel unwell during the event?
If you start to feel unwell during the event we advise you go home, if you feel like you require medical assistance please see the first aid tent.
Is there first aid available on-site?
Promed will be at our event to offer first aid where required.

Lost and found will be with the people at the front gate.
